TONY WRIGHT -
Designer and author of the leadership action checklist.
" I have worked in the field of leadership since 1988 and in that time I
have designed and delivered leadership development initiatives for
hundreds of organisations across four continents.
Before that, my background was in Aircraft Engineering, retail
management and personal development.
I have designed leadership programmes at masters level.
I am a qualified coach.
I have recently designed three prominent "Virtual leadership programmes". This has involved the production of 90 hours of virtual learning using experiential learning techniques. These initiatives have won 4 international training awards including "best use of technology". See one of the initiatives here (link to follow).
I am passionate about helping people to turn ideas and thinking about leadership into practical actions.
The leadership action checklist has been developed through listening to the leaders (and followers) that I have worked with and translating what they have told me into a straightforward framework for understanding what is currently happening, what needs to happen and how to close the gap.
I deliver a lot of my work as an associate through some brilliant consultancies. (Link here).
When I'm not involved in leadership work, I run a small photography business, I paddle my canoe, ride my bike, play my Blues Harmonicas and Mandolin and continously learn about life from my son. In 1986 I was elected a Fellow of the Royal Geographical Society."
